spring BUUHHREEAAAKK

it's been a trizzipp been on the gogogogo and it's been awesome i feel really good about myself. started with vegas for vu's bday that was insane as usual. got back and handled ish in irvine, had din din with the lamat fam and watched into the wild that was nice, new thoughts and insights on travelling..

home time.. had a nice drive up with nathan and sandra, contemplated certain facts of life while passing kettleman city.. weird how cows are beings just like us with souls and desires and whatnot.. and vs factory farmed cows, these are living the life, they have sunshine.. and shit (literally). but either way, both are going about their life within their given environment and circumstances, chillin. however, little do they know, that very existence is solely for the purpose of their death by slaughter. that's their light at the end of the tunnel, except it's the other way around.. the tunnel at the end of the light?

and the implication of that to me? i'm wavering. my conviction has been fading. the passions i once felt defined my lifestyle as of late slowly fleeting. as lame as that sounds (or it makes me feel), i literally am just adapting to the ways of greater society. i don't feel bad about on the daily though, life is easier. but in the terms of one's standards being lowered it blows. from vegan to vegetarian to pescetarian. the idea of meat doesn't even bother me so much anymore. people are always agreeable with my latest switch, "oh that's good, that's easier, healthier.. good for you!" but my initial reaction is to think i suck. i don't know, cows!

went out to the mission twice with nat, both on whims. seldom do we even go out as two.. but it was sick. danced, met new ppl. caught up with my bestie christine who has been dating someone for a month.. her first boyfriend, so nuts. good things come to those who wait, the relationship sounds so good, i love it.

kicked it with parents, all day.. working working working at our relationship. yesterday the fam drove up to muir woods which was super awesome.. it's nice to "get away" into nature (what is nature? aren't we in nature as it is?) for a bit. entire bay area = trees = pollen = my kryptonite. visited drakes bay oyster farm and dropped $60. had a few raw there, delicious. we cooked a shitload of them tonight, i am way over oysters now. had a sandwich in inverness, cute small ass town in the north bay. erica cooked a vegan din for me and the two of us watched a few pbs programs, so interesting. we fixed the house after it being turned upside down from the carpet cleaning, cleaned.. organizing. lots of that ish this week for sure.

i went out to great america today for my dad's company's annual employee appreciation family day with my parents and two couples, my fam friend's parents. great america for me usually consists of just going from ride to ride with friends, so it was very intrigued to see this place from their perspective. we ate lunch for what felt like an eternity and chatted my brains away. we watched a round of firefall, and never would i have known the thrill you get just from watching it. ppl were freaking out!! pleasure from riding or watching, amazing to experience it. then we spent twenty minutes analyzing the ladder climb hahaha. we walked around for a bit and then split from them, my parents and i rode the swings i love that ride. haha it was super cute and my dad was hella dizzy afterwards. it was a great day and it felt really good knowing that i can handle my own chopping it up with the adults.

at dinner tonight erica brought up her trip with project nicaragua this summer and my parents started the whole safety talk which led the discussion on who's responsibility it is to make positive change in the world and it was like them against us to which my dad tried to say "you can't solve all the world's problems by yourself" to which erica stomped on their heads with an immediate rebuttal of "that's what selfish ppl say" AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

cheers to the start of spring quarter, the next chapter of my life, whatever that holds.. yikes.
