hiooooooo!!!

christmas this year was chill. we celebrate on xmas eve, and i love it that way. i have no idea what the significance of christmas eve is, or even.. what christmas is!! haha, but nonetheless, sall good. i'm not completely jaded over it, i dread the holiday routine but in the end it's the little things you have to pick out of it and enjoy.

i was pretty hung over yesterday and my parents weren't in the best of moods.. the usual intense christmas dinner preparation was more like the day-long crawl. we significantly decreased the amount of feed this christmas; it's usually eight people at my house, with enough food to feed at least twenty four. i was really over it yesterday and looked and felt like shit, my parents were just bitter over who knows what and were nagging everyone all day! in the end, dinner was quiet but nice, presents were chill and we had some lighterhearted laughs. got hella $cash$money$ SICK. parents dropped the gparents off and went to midnight mass at st. mary's in the city. i kicked it with erica for a second then headed over to a friend's to kick it. yay!

today i'm stoked!! i feel great. merry christmas, or whatever. wake up whenever i want, shower, stuff my face with a bowl of mashed potatoes and fake turkey (we switched it up, no more tofurky.. that ish makes your pee smell so bad) SWIMMING in half a cup of vegan gravy LOADED with mushrooms, and a bit of cranberry relish to top it off. awesome. gonna pay respects to my grandma in a bit, then kick it old school, probably catch a movie tonight with the fam, and then smoke a million bowls.

oh, the passing of the holidays. see, it's the lil things about the holidays, once you get through the familial bullshit and our consumer culture and this and that.. there are plenty of tight things about the holidays that we celebrate for no reason rather than spending time with loved ones and holding onto a few useless yet harmless traditions. and i love new years eve, i can't wait! hiooo
