i really love the northwest, i'm in vancouver with the fam right now. we were in seattle for the past few days and there's something just so comfortable and welcoming about this area.. people are much friendlier and courteous and accommodating. to me, seattle's like san francisco but without that intimidation factor. and i like to eat seafood. it's inspiring sometimes after being dragged into family shit to walk around and see other people and be reminded of what you may have forgotten- that you're not alone in the world and your problems and that there are beautiful things and people all around you. from the quickest interactions to the life-long relationships to experience and better yourself from.

i had a similar experience in the richmond the other day by myself. recovering after a night out, i hung out in green apple which is my favorite place ever. i stood there listening to good ass music and reading magazines. being in the presence of people in possibly likely mindsets and interests, appreciating simple things in life. simple things that have the potential and ability to change everything. walking down clement after leaving, i felt this sense of quiet serenity and calmness. i've been finding inspiration in ironic and unexpected places lately..

a good friend advised me - "don't let things get you down. use them to motivate you."

peace easy.
